A man has been charged with the attempted murder of a teenager at a Sussex beauty spot.
Ian Haywood of Willow Way, Hurstpierpoint, is charged with attempting to murder a 17-year-old girl, attempted robbery and false imprisonment.
The charges relate to an attack at Ditchling Common Country Park, near Brighton, on Thursday night, when a girl was left with knife wounds to her face, arms and body.
Hayward, 36, was charged just before midnight on Saturday. He is due to appear before Crawley magistrates tomorrow.
