Sussex is currently experiencing September temperatures in the middle of December as one of the mildest winters on record continues.
Last night the temperature in Brighton was 12C 54F making it the warmest December night since 1994.
The past nine nights have even seen the average night temperature be warmer than the average day temperature.
Argus weatherman Ken Woodhams said: "It is being caused by warm air coming in from the Atlantic. It is like September in December."
The mild spell follows the wettest ever Autumn on record.
