The Government is being urged to reform the Disability Discrimination Act after a report claimed that many employers were ignorant of its provisions.
The Institute of Employment Rights said the effectiveness of the legislation was being undermined because not enough employers and workers were familiar with the law.
The institute, an independent charity, made a number of recommendations, including extending the Act to small firms.
