The agony for Jeannette Worster and other people still recovering from an outbreak of food poisoning at a top Barbados hotel just goes on.

It is now seven months since Mrs Worster, from Sayers Common, returned from what was supposed to be a dream holiday, yet her illness has still not been diagnosed.

Now she may have to use compensation money for private tests or face being placed on an NHS waiting list for up to a year.

It is a sorry state of affairs that a health system someone has paid into all their lives should fail them in their most desperate hour of need.
