Some of John Richards' comments in his review of Saxons restaurant (Argus Weekend, October 18) were very unfair. To say the food was nothing to write home about is utterly unjustifiable, particularly as he later states some dishes were delicious!
We travel a 30-mile round trip to have regular Saturday lunch and occasional evening dinners at Saxons. The quality and atmosphere exceeds the standard of any other restaurant we have patronised.
Our congratulations to Saxons on doing such a great job. We heartily recommend this delightful establishment.
