How can Pam Ansell claim Brighton and Hove Council thinks brass bands present the wrong image (Opinion, July 19)? The council has never said such a thing. We certainly don't believe it.
For the record, the council continues to be very supportive of brass. Examples of this are the recent brass concert in the Hove Town Hall, the staging of a series of free brass concerts on the seafront on July 7, 8 and 9 and the season of free brass concerts every Sunday in the Pavilion Gardens from June 4 to September 10.
