News that the proposed stadium at Falmer is running into trouble before a planning application is submitted does not surprise me.

Now the suggestion is a smaller stadium be considered at Falmer.

Just 44,985 voters were in favour of Falmer out of a total of over 77,000 who voted on the stadium issue.

The vote, organised by Brighton and Hove Council, was conducted without any opportunity being given to the opponents of the Falmer site.

If there is a real chance of a smaller stadium at Falmer, then other sites must be reconsidered.

After all, a smaller stadium might well fit into previously discussed sites. One of these sites might be a great deal more convenient than Falmer.
