Former boxer Chris Eubank is "cashing in on the property boom" by selling-off some of his investments.

Two of his properties in Brighton and Hove have gone on the market and are set to make him a small fortune.

But his spokesman Mel Goldberg denied rumours that the former world middleweight champion had money worries.

Mr Goldberg said: "I know Chris is selling a couple of his investments but he does not have any financial problems.

"He is very high profile at the moment and is doing very well. I think he may have just decided to take advantage of the property boom."

Mr Eubank is selling-off two of his most unusual properties. The first is his private swimming pool, tucked away behind smart detached houses in New Church Road, Hove.

Two miles from his trio of family homes in The Upper Drive, Hove, he bought it three years ago after he was unable to build a pool at his main home.

Agents Mishon Mackay say of the £100,000 property: "This is a truly unique, single-storey property in pristine decorative condition incorporating a main studio room with a beautifully-fitted kitchen.

"Outside is an enclosed kidney-shaped tiled and heated swimming pool, with lighting and security cameras."

Neighbours said the Eubanks bought the pool about three years ago and had spent a lot of money improving it. The family used it frequently at weekends and hot summer evenings for the last two years. But this year they had not used it as much because the weather had not been as good.

Mr Eubank's other property is St Anne's House, a hostel for homeless people in Buckingham Place, Brighton, for which the sale is in the process of being finalised.

Chris Bidwell, the Brighton lawyer handling the conveyancing, refused to reveal the asking price or who the buyer is.

Mr Bidwell said: "It will remain as a hostel, as there are planning conditions in force which relate to its sale. The residents are not going to find themselves out on the street."
