T. Gilks complains about the possible £1 flat rate bus fare and calls for investment in a reliable tram system to encourage people out of their cars (Opinion, June 23).
Apart from the fact the £1 fare idea is better for drivers and those travelling more than a mile, does he/she seriously think the money for a tram system will be found before the problem of inconsiderate motorists parking at bus stops and yellow lines is solved?
I think not.
