As Phillip Smith is Hon Secretary of Blakers Park, Brighton, maybe it is his job to stop people having to relieve themselves unnecessarily and get some more toilets installed.

Taxi drivers are not the only people who use the park for this purpose. Many youngsters use the play area and tennis courts. A refreshment kiosk makes a trip to the toilet inevitable for both mums and children. But there isn't one!

Many children have resorted to going behind a tree in the play area. This is rather unhealthy and will get worse during the summer months.

There is a building near the play area which may be a good site for new toilets. Vandalism would be eradicated by having the toilets shut by a certain time and they would be monitored daily as the park has a very good Friends Society. The park is loved by many children and their families and would be a more pleasant place to be if this facility was provided before the summer holidays.
