Bar staff were left shocked after a man fired a shotgun in a pub.
Two men, one carrying the shotgun, walked into
the Royal pub, St Leonards, at 10.55pm last night. The armed man aimed the shotgun at the bar and fired a single shot, smashing glasses and optics, before walking
out.
The venue was almost empty at the time with only one customer sitting away from the bar. The staff were not behind the bar at the time.
A police spokeswoman said: "Fortunately, the staff were attending to other work away from the bar and there was just one customer. We are urgently appealing for witnesses to this incident. We do not know at this stage the
reasons for this attack and unfortunately the two men left before anyone could get a good look at them for a description."
