BRIGHTON Health Care NHS Trust is £20,000 better off, thanks to the League of Hospital Friends.
The money will help renovate rooms used to give bad news to patients' relatives.
Philip Sommerville, chairman of the league, said: "We wanted to make this donation because bereavement and loss are things we all experience at some time in our lives.
"Where you receive this news can often make a difference."
