HorshameYMCA made it a great night for County League clubs after knocking out Bognor last night.

Bognor had the first chance when David Wright slipped a ball through to Roy Young whose low shot was saved by Jason Dumbrill. But then Phil Churchill breached Bognor's offside trap only to see his effort well saved by the agile Colin Matthews.

The visitors took the lead in the sixth minute when Bognor needlessly conceded a free kick and Phil Fitzgerald's cross to the back post was headed home by Lee Butcher.

Bognor had a great chance to equalise in the 16th minute when Dumbrill could only partially clear under pressure from Neil Scammell. Wright headed the ball back into the area but Scammell's scissor kick went narrowly wide.

The Rocks felt they should have had a penalty when Young was barged off the ball by Peter Durrant, but the referee ignored their claims. Dumbrill saved at the second attempt from Dean Blake and Stuart McCall was forced to head over his own bar from Tony Cleeve's cross in the second half while Jay Pickering and Young both went close.

But there was nothing wrong with YM's finishing and in the 74th minute a corner was cleared out to Matt Russell and although his fierce drive was blocked by Matthews, Churchill followed up was able to bundle the ball over the line and make victory secure.
