An historic Sussex venue was the perfect place for a step back in time over the weekend.
Thousands turned out for a medieval re-enactment event at Bodiam Castle brought to life by living history experts the Wolfshead Bowmen.
Visitors were able to soak up the atmosphere of a Middle Ages encampment and the event included costumed par-ades, arms displays and archery. The event marked the beginning of the new season of re-enactments which will take place throughout Sussex during spring and summer.
