Inspirational Clinton Moore led Crawley to a 3-0 Premier Division triumph against Tamworth at Broadfield Stadium.

Moore scored one and made another as Reds got back on track after two defeats, with substitute Jay Lovett adding a late screamer to complete the scoring. Crawley would have doubled their score but for the acrobatics of Tamworth goalkeeper Darren Acton.

Reds captain John Ugbah had a header saved after just two minutes.

Moore was denied when Acton palmed away his drive three minutes later.

The striker clipped the crossbar on ten minutes. But Tamworth hit back and Mark Wolsey and Gary Smith went close.

Reds regained control and Moore shot straight at Acton and a curling effort by Gus Hurdle was held by the Lambs goalkeeper. Reds' Dean Wordsworth fired just wide on 40 minutes from the edge of the box. Moore had a great opportunity to open the scoring in first-half injury-time but shot at Acton when clean through.

Curtis Johnson replaced Lee Doherty at half-time and the Reds bombarded the Lambs goal. A Keith Sharman header from a Wordsworth cross was deflected wide for a corner before he had a 'goal' disallowed on 58 minutes for a foul.

The breakthrough came in the 68th minute. Moore escaped two late tackles to clip the ball over the despairing Acton. Hurdle tested Acton and a superb Moore cross was cleared. Warren Haughton squandered a chance for Tamworth when he blasted over from six yards.

But Crawley made it 2-0 with three minutes left. Hurdle latched onto a quick throw by Johnson and crossed for Wordsworth to tap home his first league goal for the club.

With just a minute left, Lovett replaced Sharman and he rifled home off a post from 25 yards three minutes into injury time.
