ALBION assistant Alan Cork has labelled Scottish striker Dave Cameron "useless."

Cameron was substituted after 20 minutes of Saturday's dismal 2-0 defeat at Hull.

Cork said: "Cameron was useless, full stop. If he wants to be a professional footballer he has got to liven up.

"On that performance it will be a long time before he plays again."

Cameron bought himself out of the army last summer to sign for the Seagulls. He has yet to score in nine starts and 14 appearances as a substitute.

Darren Carr was also slammed by Cork after collecting Albion's seventh red card of the season. He was sent-off early in the second half for a professional foul on David Brown on the edge of the area.

"You cannot be excused for getting sent-off," said Cork. "He shouldn't have been in a situation where he was chasing back towards his own goalkeeper."

Stretch

Jason Harris struck twice against the ten men to stretch Albion's run without a win to seven games and their away goal drought to almost eight hours. They have also dropped below Hull to 17th.

A fuming Cork added: "It was the worst performance I have seen since I've been at the club.

"They are going to have a hard week now. I am going to try to drum some things into their heads.

"The word at the moment is desire. That is what we are looking for. It is a case of who has got the strength and character to play now.

"Perhaps they are all living on their egos. It looks like they are all big time charlies."

Carr and captain Paul Rogers, who collected his fifth booking of the season, are banned for the next away match at Northampton on February 19 along with Rod Thomas.

Charlie Oatway and Andy Crosby return from suspensions for Saturday's home game against Plymouth Argyle.
