Adams is concerned about a lack of passion from fans at the club's temporary home.

Jamie Campbell's seventh minute strike scraped a 1-0 win for the Seagulls against Hartlepool on Saturday.

But another sell-out crowd was bored into long spells of silence after Campbell's first goal for the club.

"We started very brightly,"Adams said. "But after that we went dead, the crowd went dead and the atmosphere was dead. I don't understand it. Our away fans get behind the boys, rally around the team and make a lot of noise."

Lifted

Campbell's first goal since scoring against Albion for Cambridge United towards the end of last season has lifted Adams' men back up to ninth.

"I made eye contact with Warren Aspinall and I think he realised I was looking for a quick free-kick," said Campbell.

"They called for offside, but I don't think it was. The keeper maybe should have done better with my header, but it came back to me and I just put it in.

"It feels good to score my first goal for the club. We didn't play that well, but we got the three points."

Adams must decide whether to continue with Rod Thomas up front alongside Gary Hart for tomorrow night's FA Cup first round replay against new League leaders Peterborough.

Thomas replaced banned top scorer Darren Freeman against Hartlepool, but he was replaced in the second half by teenager Scott Ramsay.

Around 1,000 tickets are still left for the Peterborough tie. They are on general sale at the ticket office in Queens Road, Brighton, today and tomorrow between 10am and 4pm.
