In reply to G Beck (Letters, June 15), a referendum on whether Hove should be separate from Brighton would result in a "yes".
Hove has become poorer since it united with Brighton. It used to be clean, with litter-free pavements.
Not so now. We no longer appear to take any pride in our town.
