After its recent rise, my council tax per month is exactly one week's pension.
Having no private pension, I have to live for four weeks on three weeks'-worth of pension. Thank you Mr Blair.
I reckon MPs would soon alter the situation if they lost a week's wages every month to tax. But, no doubt, they have their pensions nicely sorted out for when they retire.
