The bittersweet musings of Brighton's own rock goth god Nick Cave are the inspiration at the dark heart of Sydney Dance Company's Underland.

Choreographed by New York dance maverick Stephen Petronio, Underland is a frenetic accompaniment to Cave's elegies on religion, death and love.

Against a triptych of video screens, the 18-strong dance troupe explore themes relating to "under" - under the surface, the skin, the subconscious.

"These dancers are skilled people and I am interested in their intuitive, reflexive responses, says Petronio. "I believe if dance is going to be relevant to the 21st Century, it has to have the hands and breath and minds of people from the 21st Century on it."

Starts 8pm. Tickets cost £22.50/£15.
