Dancer Nathan Potter's lambada won him a place in the next round of reality television show Strictly Dance Fever.

The 26-year-old manager of Hastings Bay Trading clothes shop and his dancing partner, Kristy Cullen, scored some of the lowest marks from judges on the Saturday night show on BBC 1.

But the pair's performance of a lambada to a backing track of Lambada Time was enough to keep them in the contest.

Mother-of-two Casey Morris, 25, from Horsham, and dance partner Toby Beal were voted off Saturday's show.

Seven couples now remain holed up in a Buckinghamshire mansion where they must perfect a different routine each week in the hope of winning a £50,000 prize.

Next Saturday, Nathan, who teaches dance at the Stagecoach club in Ocklynge School in his home town of Eastbourne, and Kristy will perform the jitterbug.

Strictly Dance Fever is at 5.55pm.
