In response to my letter about the late Matt Monro, David Rutter very kindly sent me a video of An Evening With Matt Monro.
It was mastered from a film of a cabaret which had been made in Australia in 1967.
The film was discovered recently by Matt's daughter, Michele, in a canister in the garage where it had lain for more than 20 years.
What a find it turned out to be.
It brought back wonderful memories when I watched it. Matt was terrific.
It is a fine memorial to a very fine artist.
