Eastbourne Borough boss Garry Wilson has told his players their Conference south play-off hopes are in their own hands.

Borough swept aside bottom club Redbridge 3-0 at The Oakside Stadium to move back into the top five with four games remaining.

Scott Ramsay gave the visitors the perfect start when he netted with a lob after just 20 seconds.

Danny Chapman doubled the lead shortly after half time with his first goal for the club, before Matt Crabb put the game beyond doubt on 64 minutes.

Wilson said: "It is in our hands because if we win all our games we will be in the play-offs. Our run-in is not too bad, with three home games, so that is our aim.

"Redbridge did not show much and you could see why they are down at the bottom of the table because Lee Hook didn't have a save to make. It was a comfortable win but it was very pleasing to go out and get the points."

Victory came at a price because both Chapman and Danny Simmonds suffered calf injuries.

Wilson said: "The injuries were the only disappointment. We can't afford to have anyone out at this stage of the season."

Bognor manager Jack Pearce is concerned about his side's inability to kill sides off following a 2-1 defeat at Weymouth.

The Rocks fell behind five minutes after half time when Vil Powell scored but the lead lasted just six minutes as Kevin Murphy equalised from a penalty.

Powell hit the winner on 66 minutes to leave Bognor without a win in four games. Pearce said: "It is a big worry for me that we can't kill these teams off when we have the chance."
