What I think would be a really good idea for the old cement works at Upper Beeding would be something like the Spectrum Centre in Guildford, a venue to cater for all leisure tastes - a swimming pool, bowling alley, gym and a large ice rink, etc. Even a conference centre could be included.
This is what we need in Sussex. Why should we have to travel miles when everything could be under one roof?
Surely it could be designed in a way which would suit the surroundings at Upper Beeding. Anything must be better than the cement works eyesore. We need to bring people into the area.
