Lewes are likely to give a debut to new signing Lee Farrell in tonight's Sussex Senior Cup quarter-final tie at Oakwood.

Farrell, who joined the Rooks from County League side East Preston last week, has been named in an otherwise unchanged Lewes squad.

Manager Steven King will not say whether Farrell will start but he expects the 21-year-old to play some part.

King has signed the striker with a view to next season but is confident he has the ability to play some part in the Rooks' remaining Conference south matches.

He said: "I just want him to interact between now and the end of the season, to get to know the other players. There is no pressure on him."

King is certainly not taking tonight's trip to County League division two side Oakwood lightly.

He said: "We want to get to the final of this cup. It is the only thing we can still win this year."

Oakwood will be without the injured Martin Comper (knee) and Glen Woodburn (suspended).

Manager Bob Pyle said: "We are going into the game with indifferent form lately but our cup form against quality sides is good.

"It is a mountain to climb but we are going to give it our best shot and hope it goes our way.

"If it doesn't, then at least we would have given it a go."

Ringmer tackle Isthmian premier division side Worthing in tonight's other quarter-final with a place in the last four alongside Crawley and Bognor up for grabs.

Worthing were winning 2-1 at Ringmer last Tuesday when the original tie was abandoned at half-time due to a waterlogged pitch.

Both sides go into tonight's clash with no new injury problems. Ringmer, who are still without striker Andy Agutter (calf), have signed Julian Curnow from Three Bridges.

The move comes less than a week after Curnow signed for Bridges from Bromley.
