Owing to all the bad press with regard to hospitals, I felt I should give my opinion.

On Monday, February 21, I was admitted to the Royal Sussex County Hospital for heart treatment.

I was very impressed by the treatment I received and the cleanliness of the wards. The care and attention from doctors, nurses and ancillary staff was really first class.

For the two days I was in, I must have seen a cleaning lady at least eight times which, I think, shows the NHS cleaning programme is getting there.

I am now at home and healthy, thanks largely to the care and attention I received from those working on the hospital's Lewes ward.

Thanks again.
