I opened my curtains Sunday morning and I was presented with one of Mother Nature's magical scenes.
Snow-covered pavements, roads and rooftops and large goose feather flakes were falling.
A silvery, watery sun shone in a grey-white sky through the black silhouette of trees and shrubs.
I watched blackbirds, robins and blue tits searching for food.
A squirrel jumped across the road, its tail flicking as it got wet with snow and seagulls silently soared in search of much-needed breakfast.
I thoroughly enjoyed this picture in the silence which only snow and lack of traffic can bring.
I could not have seen a better natural scene had I been in the heart of a rural area.
How lucky we are in Brighton and Hove to have such wonderful wildlife diversity.
Long may it continue to thrive.
