Living in different parts of the country isn't ideal when you're putting together a band - but geographical distance hasn't stopped Clayhill's creative trio from joining forces.
Gavin Clark, Ali Friend and Ted Barnes got together in 2001 when Ali's much-loved band Red Snapper split. With their collective fingers in many pies - Ali and Ted were collaborating with Beth Orton, and Ted was also working on a solo album which needed a vocalist - they approached former Sunhouse singer Gavin Clark and slowly began to build up a repertoire of acoustic, soulful sounds.
A critically-acclaimed mini album, Cuban Green, was released last summer and their full-length debut album Full Circle, described as "a rustic fusion of folk rock quirk", has just been released.
Ted, originally from Brighton but now based in Whistable, says he hates the word fusion, but admits that the three of them - a folkie, a jazzer and a singer-songwriter - connect three different musical worlds with mutual affinity.
Starts 8.30pm, Tickets £8.50, Tel 01273 647100
