May I convey a big thank you to the two young men who enquired if they could help on the evening of Wednesday, January 26, near the rear entrance of the United Reform Church Hall in Seaford.
A lady had fallen on the concrete steps and had sustained both a nasty head injury and broken ankle.
Luckily, another lady was passing and came into the hall where our club was holding a meeting to alert us of the situation.
Thank you to her too.
Although my friend and I were attending to the unfortunate lady's needs and had already called an ambulance, these two lads came up to us individually to offer help. One had already called for an ambulance on his mobile.
It is so heartwarming that these young people offered assistance when there is so much bad publicity about the younger generation.
This goes to show not all young people are uncaring and selfish.
Thank you both again. The lady is in hospital and recovering well.
