Chris Rackley says 20 million people want cycle-free roads, no cycle lanes and no bus lanes (Letters, December 20).
I guess that leaves twice as many people who disagree with his views.
I cannot drive. I have to get a bus or cycle to work.
I have to share road space with Mr Rackley and his fellow car users. But if he has his way there will be no room at all for my bike or my bus. I will have to go by car.
So let's say I do just that - I learn to drive, buy a car I can ill afford, choke the planet with more fumes - then I'll be another car owner adding to the congestion on Sussex's roads.
What does Mr Rackley suggest we do then? Bulldoze the Pavilion so we can have a 12-lane highway into Brighton? Destroy his neignbourhood so we can build a super-dooper M23 feeder highway? I think not.
Instead, bring on the bike lanes and bus priority lights. And car users of Mr Rackley's ilk should chill out and have some respect for their fellow road users - just like we have to respect you.
