They say those the gods wish to destroy, they first make mad.
This certainly would explain the actions of Mid-Sussex District Council (MSDC) and Crest Nicholson over their seemingly unstoppable further development of Bolnore city... sorry village near Haywards Heath and the destruction of the beautiful green space they propose.
Crest Nicholson and MSDC should hang their heads in shame at their plans.
Many locals are concerned about the loss of green space, the threat to wildlife, pollution and over-population which will result.
It is vitally important our green spaces and what is left of the English countryside and nature is protected and properly managed, not only for this but also for future generations.
This habitat is being destroyed for the sake of short-term profit. It is the council's responsibility to act in the public interest and in this instance it does not appear to be doing so.
The area in which we live is already over-populated in terms of the available essential local infrastructure and any further development in the area would not benefit the current or any more incoming residents.
To allow this beautiful site to be built on would be a disaster.
I would urge readers to help us save what local green spaces we have left.
