I agree with Mrs Scales (Letters, December 16). The Queen's Park Estate needs a community centre.
The plot of land at the top of Pankhurst Avenue, traditionally having been used as a public space, is the ideal situation for this.
It is time for Brighton and Hove City Council to show it's flexibility and commitment to its voters by refusing permission for developers to profit at the expense of local people.
