It is almost certain that the European Flag is likely to supercede the Union Jack.

The United Kingdom is becoming a multi-cultural society as more and more immigrants, both from other EU countries and further afield, arrive at our shores.

There are planned harmonisation programmes with our EU partners being implemented by our politicians as I write and this will intertwine our various cultural societies.

It is also said we need these immigrants to increase our younger population and pay the necessary taxes to pay for our ever-increasing elderly population.

Such an influx of cultures will undoubtedly lead to a call for a change in our national flag.

It may take a hundred years or more but, in time, our colourful Union Jack will merely be a regional and historic symbolic ornament.
