Simon Rowland kept his cool to grab a last-minute winner for Hastings United over Banstead in Dave Walters' penultimate game in charge before Neville Southall takes the reins.
Southall will watch tomorrow night's clash with Sidley United in the Hastings Senior Cup semi-final at the Pilot Field with chairman Walters still calling the shots as caretaker boss.
Sean Ray gave United a half-time lead after he opened the scoring on 40 minutes but Neil John levelled for the visitors on 78 minutes. Rowland grabbed the winner on the counter-attack fron a long clearance upfield which left him one-on-one with the keeper.
