Lewes manager Steven King was left speechless after watching his side come from 4-0 down to win 5-4 against Redbridge at the Dripping Pan.

The visitors looked to be cruising to victory after goals from Julian Edwards (two), Richard Thomas and Helder Valdez put them 4-0 up inside 35 minutes.

Michael Harvey started the comeback just before the break with a long-range effort but at that stage it looked to be no more than a consolation.

Paul Kennett added a second for Lewes 12 minutes after the break with his first of the season, then Francis Duku made it 4-3 six minutes later after being set up by Lee Newman.

The home crowd went into raptures 14 minutes from time when Junior Kadi converted a penalty to level matters.

However, there was even better to come as Kirk Watts completed the remarkable fightback with the winner seven minutes from time.

King said: "I don't know what to say about it. It was just unbelievable. I have never seen anything like it before.

"I went absolutely ballistic at half-time, which I don't normally do. I think the players were a bit shocked by that so they went out and put things right."

The win stretched Lewes' unbeaten run to eight games.
