How refreshing and much-needed was Lynn Daly's article (The Argus, December 14). Christmas has indeed turned into a politically Xmas or Winter Celebration.
In the article, titled Let's put the Christ back in Christmas, she makes some excellent points. Yes, let's be tolerant to all faiths but we seem to have lost sight of what Christmas is all about.
So before we all go "lemming-like around the shops" as if a siege is upon us, can I suggest we just take a little time out to reflect on what Christmas is actually about - Jesus.
She is right when she says nearly every trace of him has been wiped out in town centres and television.
Jesus is the reason for the season.
Wishing you all a happy, fun and reflective Christmas.
