Worthing's Jones Awuah bagged a brace as Worthing got back to winning ways with a creditable victory at Windsor and Eton.

Awuah, who is on a month's loan from Gillingham, had an easy finish from six yards on 35 minutes to put the Rebels ahead but he showed his class on 57 minutes when he drilled home from 12 yards past former Lewes goalkeeper Ade Bankole.

Victory was fully deserved for the Rebels who twice went close early on through Mark Knee while Liam Collins and Paul Rogers also had chances to add to the tally.

Worthing assistant manager Danny Bloor said: "It was a fantastic win and nice to get back in the winning groove.

"There won't be many teams who will come to Windsor and Eton and get three points.

"We have had a couple of very disappointing defeats but if you look at our results, we have probably one of the best records away from home in the league.

"It certainly gives myself and the manager (Alan Pook) food for thought as to why we do so well away.

"This result will put us in good heart for Tonbridge on December 27 and, hopefully, we will have a few players back off the injured list as we went into the game with eight out."

Bloor added: "Awuah's first goal was quite an easy finish but the second showed why he can play Football League."

Windsor's best chance of a consolation was a right foot shot which flew over the bar from Paul Holsgrove, who briefly had a spell with Albion when Brian Horton was manager.
