Albion manager Mark McGhee today targeted a December win double to stay on course for Championship survival.

The Seagulls kick-off the fifth month of the season at home to rock-bottom Rotherham on Saturday.

Third-bottom Gillingham visit Withdean on Boxing Day, while Albion also face December fixtures at home to fast-fading Stoke and away to two of McGhee's former clubs, Millwall and Wolves.

McGhee said: "We took seven points in August, seven in September, five in October and three in November. That is a trend we have got to reverse and I think we have got to target Rotherham and Gillingham as the two games that are three pointers for us.

"Anything we get out of the Millwall, Stoke and Wolves games will be a bonus."

Albion will not have a target man against Rotherham in the absence of both the suspended Adam Virgo and funds to bring Mark McCammon in on loan from Millwall.

McGhee said: "Rotherham is a really important game for us in the sense that, on paper, it is three of our most attainable points.

"We would like to have Virgs, we haven't, we'd like to have McCammon but we haven't, so we get on with it."

Poor results against fellow strugglers were responsible for relegation two seasons ago and captain Danny Cullip is desperate to avoid a repeat.

He said: "Rotherham is a massive game.

"We have to make sure we don't drop points against them, which unfortunately is what we did against Crewe. Hopefully we can rectify that with a good result on Saturday."
