Sussex under-18s have reached the quarter-finals of the FA Youth Inter-County Cup.
They beat Bedfordshire 3-1 at Lancing with goals from Aaron Gunn (Worthing), Joe Leggett (Pagham) and substitute Tom Smith (Worthing).
Manager Peter Miles, who has led the under-18s to two finals in the past ten years, said: "Bedfordshire were big and uncompromising. They gave us a lot of problems but we stuck in there and got a result."
Sussex will face Staffordshire or Lincolnshire in the last eight next year.
Sussex under-18s play the Royal Navy in the Home Counties Championship at Culver Road on December 14.
