You lauded the opening of a sub-post office in Hove (The Argus, November 16). Would it not be better to begin a campaign for the re-opening of closed post offices?

In particular, the ones in New Church Road, Hove, and Western Road, Brighton, near Waitrose, are needed for the residents of these two areas.

It is wrong that post offices should now be so difficult to get to. I found the one in St George's Road, Kemp Town, had half-day closing when I needed one for mailing.

It seems the Post Office is claiming losses. This is a managerial failure.

Let us hope for a rethink, with the Post Office being told by the community that these closures will not be tolerated.
