A share of £100,000 is up for grabs among budding entrepreneurs living in one of the most deprived parts of Brighton and Hove.
Existing businesses and people wanting to kick-start their own business who are based in Moulsecoomb, Bates Estate, Whitehawk, Manor Farm, Saunders Park and Higher Bevendean can apply for up to £5,000 each.
The money is available with the launch of East Brighton Business Support (ebbs), a team of two experts employed by Brighton and Hove Business Community Partnership and funded by not-for-profit regeneration company eb4u.
To apply for the money, residents need to have a business plan, which will be assessed by a panel of local business people and organisations.
The ebbs team, made up of business advisor Nigel Jeffrey and business community manager Lorraine Bell, will also help people write business plans, find new premises and access finance.
They can be contacted on 01273 296767.
