We pay to train doctors and nurses over a period of five to seven years, all at the taxpayers' expense.
At the end of their training, we are told a third decide to go to America or elsewhere. This should stop.
Doctors and nurses should sign a contract which states they must work for a minimum of five years in the NHS before moving on.
If they do not wish to work in the NHS, the contract should state that they would be liable to repay all the cost of their training.
I believe this contract would give the NHS a regular supply of doctors and nurses.
