Regarding Brighton and Hove City Council's 2.7m recycling drive, it was interesting to note the problems of non collection in Maytree Walk.
A council spokesperson said: "For health and safety reasons, the crew cannot carry the boxes to the end of the road where the kerbside vehicle is waiting."
What right has the council to instruct residents of all ages and capabilities to carry their refuse, in some cases up steep steps and long distances, to the kerbside for collection if staff selected and insured by the council are unable to perform this task?
