Chris Eubank and fellow Hove personality David Van Day helped launch a new foster care service for the city.

Hundreds of balloons with tags were released into the Brighton sky to mark the event and the person who has bought the one which travels the furthest will win a prize.

Chris, a former world boxing champion and David, a singer with the Seventies pop duo Dollar, gave their support to the new service, called the Integrated Services Programme (ISP).

Both have brought up young families in the city and Chris is especially interested in the service as he was in care for much of his childhood.

ISP, based at Albourne, north of Brighton, is a non-profit making service set up by experienced foster carers and social workers.

It has already been a success in Kent, north London and Hertfordshire, where it has found places for problem children.
