Is the management of CityClean at Brighton and Hove City Council completely braindead?

Firstly, they insist on wheelie bins for parts of my area where crews haven't a hope in hell of getting them to the dustcart for emptying. So the bins can't be used and are a waste of money.

Secondly, my area was notified earlier this year that collection day, having been on a Wednesday for I don't know how many years, had been changed to a Thursday.

Last Wednesday the cart turned up and the crew could not understand why bins were not out on the pavement for collection. Those lucky enough to be in were able to rush their bins quickly to the cart.

Does the management even know what day it is?

Thirdly, just a couple of weeks ago the driver of a dust cart (not his fault I might add) had to stop and ask me, down in the old village at Portslade, "Where's Stonery Road, mate?"

Clearly dustcart crews need to be given a weekend of overtime to clear deadwood management out at CityClean.
