Crawley manager Francis Vines is hoping to make a loan signing after being hit with a double injury blow ahead of tomorrow's home game against Farnborough.
Winger Rob Traynor has been ruled out for two weeks with a knee injury he suffered during the first half of Saturday's 1-0 Conference defeat at Carlisle.
Striker Charlie MacDonald is a major doubt with an ankle problem sustained in the same game. Reds' top scorer received treatment after just two minutes before being substituted at half-time.
Vines will also be without former Farnborough midfielder Firston Manuella who is suspended for one match after being sent off for two bookable offences against the Cumbrians.
Vines said: "It is sad to have one player back in Paul Armstrong and then be left with the possibility that we could lose two.
"Rob Traynor had a clash of knees and will be out for a couple of weeks.
Charlie took a whack just above the ankle and got pins and needles in his toes. We don't know how bad it is and we will wait and see what happens over the next 24 hours.
"I will probably have to try and bring in a player or two, which I was thinking of doing anyway.
"I will intensify the search, make a couple of phone calls and hopefully get someone in time for the game."
