Top marks to The Argus for supporting the Albion's appeal for cash before the club moves to Falmer.

It must be up to each individual how much, if anything, they are willing and able to contribute.

No one is forcing anyone to pay but the club must also cut costs to maximise the response.

Several Albion players will never be good enough for the Championship or will not play regularly due to the emergence of others.

The likes of Charlie Oatway, Gary Hart, Nathan Jones, Paul Watson and John Piercy should be given free transfers or loan moves to get them off the wage bill.

They have all tried hard for the club, particularly Oatway and Hart who will always have a special place in fans' hearts, but the time has come to say goodbye.

Albion's youth scheme will continue to develop many excellent players for the first team, including Jake Robinson and Adam Virgo who would be obvious replacements if Leon Knight and Danny Cullip were sold.

We are told about promising young goalkeepers coming through the ranks too, so it is questionable whether Albion can justify and afford two senior keepers in Michel Kuipers and Ben Roberts.

I also have to query whether the club really needs seven full-time coaching staff.

Perhaps Bob Booker could double-up by taking on Dean White's role as reserve team manager?

Presumably the club has already questioned the need for a football liaison officer and concluded its employment of a commercial manager, sales manager and marketing manager is ultimately profitable.
