For about a millionth of a nano-second I felt sorry for hunting supporter Stephen Mockford, covered in blood after protesting outside Parliament (The Argus, September 17).

Hunted foxes are not lucky enough to get away with a scratch like that.

I understand the arguments for why the fox population needs to be controlled but am confident that we will find a sensible way around the problem as soon as fox hunting has been banned.

A message for Mr Mockford. If you are prepared to act like an animal, you have to expect to be treated the way you have treated other animals.
