I know it's three months till Remembrance Sunday but my husband and I go every year to the service at the Old Steine and over the past few years, the numbers have dwindled considerably.

Whilst not wishing to shove it down our childrens throats, I do think they and future generations should not forget the horrors of the wars and the brave men who lost their lives. Also all the little ships that bravely crossed the channel to pick up our soldiers in Dunkirk.

Perhaps ten volunteer children from each school in Brighton and Hove could attend?

It would make such a difference and boost the morale of all the ex-servicemen paying homage. It might make them feel that the wars fought were not in vain.
