Spirent, the company that makes tools to test telecom equipment, has sold its aerospace business for £2.9 million.
The Crawley-based group has sold MRO, which has operations in Yeovil, Somerset, and San Diego, California, to management.
MRO supplies logistics, maintenance, repair and software support for the civil and military aviation markets.
In the year to December 31 it recorded sales of £8.7 million.
Chief executive Anders Gustafsson said: "MRO has an established position in its market and should have every opportunity to move forward under its new ownership.
"The sale of MRO is the last in the series of strategic divestments of our aerospace businesses."
